ILU WELCOMES PROF. ELIAB SERONEY SOME AS DEPUTY VICE-CHANCELLOR – ACADEMIC AFFAIRS AND LEADER TRANSFORMATION
International Leadership University (ILU) is delighted to welcome Prof. Eliab Seroney Some, PhD, as our Deputy Vice-Chancellor – Academic Affairs and Leader Transformation.
Prof. Seroney Some is an accomplished academic, public health epidemiologist, researcher, university administrator, and transformational leader with extensive experience in academic leadership, university governance, research, quality assurance, strategic planning, institutional performance, leadership development, and organisational transformation. He holds an MBChB from the University of Nairobi, a Postgraduate Certificate in Planning and Management of Primary Health Care from the University of Zagreb, an MPH in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and a PhD in Public Health Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.

Before joining ILU, Prof. Seroney Some served as Deputy Vice-Chancellor – Administration, Planning and Finance at Kenya Methodist University. He previously served at United States International University–Africa, including as Programme Leader for the BSc in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. He has taught and supervised students at undergraduate, master’s and doctoral levels and has contributed extensively to research and scholarly publication.
Prof. Seroney Some brings to ILU a distinctive passion for building systems that make excellence measurable, sustainable, transferable, and generational. His leadership philosophy is anchored in purpose, stewardship, integrity, service, continuous improvement, and excellence.
At ILU, he will provide strategic leadership in strengthening academic quality, faculty and student development, research and innovation, postgraduate education, regulatory compliance, partnerships, digital learning, and Christ-centred Leader Transformation.
